Eggs and sheep and a couple of samples of Auckland architecture!

I thought this was unusual packaging for eggs.

Plus, they don't refrigerate eggs in the grocery stores here, even though it's tropical and warm. They just display them on the shelves like canned goods!

I took a few photos of "typical" New Zealand buildings. The old houses (from the 1800s) have corrugated metal roofs and very elaborate "gingerbread" trim.

They say there are more sheep in New Zealand than there are people. There are some along the road from where we're staying into the town of Swanson, and we stopped today to take a photo of them.
Last time we were here, we went on a long road trip around the Northland (north of where we are now), and we saw a lot more cows than sheep. But I think the south island has millions of sheep.

Hope you are all having fun! See you in a couple of weeks! Love, Penny and Socky!

PS - For a horrible little while today I thought I might have LOST Socky, but I found him!  :-)
